Local Missional Partnerships

Local Missional Partnerships

In Galatians 6:10 Paul writes, “So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Our Local Missional Partners are nonprofits & organizations that we collaborate with to bring the Kingdom of God to our neighborhoods and community. These are avenues in which we, as the church, can “do good” to everyone. These organizations cultivate environments in which we can declare and demonstrate the gospel to bring redemption to specific areas of brokenness in our city and county. In short, our partners help us mobilize mission

If you have questions, or are interested in serving one of our partnerships, email our Deacon of Local Missional Engagement, Andy Bungo.

Good Neighbor provides men, women, and families with temporary shelter and physical, emotional, and spiritual support. They assist guests with developing and prioritizing goals for their return to the community as productive members.

The Shelter provides 3 types of housing: Men’s Shelter, Women & Family Shelter, and Transition Homes. We have 2 primary ways to serve, each one pointing to Jesus Christ:

  • Meal Provision: Each month, we provide meals for either the Men’s Shelter (15–18 men) or the Women’s/Family Shelter (25–30 people). Our focus is on consistency and faithfulness in serving those in need. If you’re interested in cooking or joining us to serve a meal, we’d love to have you!
  • Adopt a Transition Home: Redemption Hill has been invited to pilot a unique opportunity: adopting a transition home for a two-year period. These homes primarily serve families, with most residents being single mothers and their children.
  • GNHS owns eight homes in a single cul-de-sac, making this an opportunity to impact not just one home but an entire community. Before a new family moves in, we can pray over the vacant home and stock the pantry with essentials. Once they arrive, our goal is to build meaningful relationships through consistent service, modeling Christ’s love, and sharing the hope of the gospel. If you’d like to be part of this opportunity , please contact Desiree or Andy Bungo at the contacts listed below.

Second Genesis (2G) is all about the Kingdom. At the heart of everything we do—whether it’s an event, outreach, or everyday relationship—is the gospel. From Bible studies and discipleship at the local transition house to partnering with churches and ministries through meals, 2G seeks to share the hope of Jesus in practical ways. We also step in with disaster relief when resources allow and show up at community events as a gospel presence, ready to love and serve our neighbors.

We have 3 primary ways to serve, each one pointing to Jesus Christ:

  1. OutreachRHC can serve along side Second Genesis at any/all outreach events to help share the love of Christ and His Word with patrons of the events. This is a great opportunity to meet non-believers who may not know Jesus.
  2. Disaster ReliefRHC can serve along side Second Genesis by helping with disaster relief when needs arise. Second Genesis often visits neighboring communities on weekends when disaster strikes. They provide food and resources to those in need. We serve locally through the Compassion Center when it is opened for a Storm/Warming Shelter.
  3. MealsOne practical way to help is by providing meals to those in need. If you know a family going through a hard time, 2G has non-perishable food items available for you to take and deliver in hopes of sharing the gospel. Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus together—meeting physical needs while pointing people to lasting hope.

Recovery Bartow is a community of individuals with lived experience in both addiction and sustained recovery. Recognizing the impact of substance misuse on individuals and families, Recovery Bartow exists to offer practical help and gospel hope to those seeking healing.

Through our partnership, RHC has the opportunity to sponsor transitional housing for those in recovery and engage in relational ministry to support them in their journey toward restoration in Christ. How can you serve?

  • Relationships – RHC can serve alongside Recovery Bartow by building intentional relationships with participants. This happens through in-person visits and prayer, providing childcare during a group meeting, or bringing a meal once a month. These small gestures communicate that they are seen, known, and loved.
  • Give a Ride – One simple yet impactful way to support someone in recovery is by offering transportation. Whether it’s a ride to work, to an appointment, or to church on Sunday, meeting this practical need often opens the door to deeper connection and encouragement.
  • Lead a Bible Study – Starting a consistent Bible study with Recovery Bartow participants is a powerful way to share the hope of the gospel. This opportunity takes commitment and care—but your faithful presence could be the first step in someone’s encounter with Jesus.
  • Hope Dealer Gala – Attend or donate to the First Annual Hope Dealer Gala on August 23rd, supporting Recovery Bartow’s mission and celebrating stories of healing and transformation.
